The Queen is an English musical band that was started in 1970. The group was made up of Brain May (the guitarist and singer), Freddie Mercury (singer and piano player), John Deacon (bass guitarist and singer) and Roger Taylor (drummer and singer).
Roger Taylor and Brian May had played for a band named Smile before they joined the Queen. The group released the album ‘A Night at the Opera’ in 1975. It was this album that brought them international recognition. Their single ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ remained number one for 9 consecutive weeks as the U.K.’s top music video. The singles ‘We Are the Champions’ and ‘We Will Rock You’ from the album ‘News of the World’ was used as anthems in major sports events.
The Queen was one of the biggest stadium rock bands in the world in the early 80’s. The band won the award for the ‘Best Band of the 1980’s’. in the spam of their musical career, they released over 16 hits and got inducted in 2001 as members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The Beatles were an English band that was started in 1860. The group was made up of George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney and John Lennon. They were known to be the most influential rock band in the 1960’s. Their musical style was Skiffle, the 50’s rock and roll and beat.
They later tried out other genres like ballads, pop Indian music to hard rock. They infused various classical themes in their music style. The group was known to produce many hits, especially from the 1965including the albums Revolver released in 1966, Rubber Soul released in 1965 and Abbey Road released in 1969.
The Beatles are also known as the bestselling musical band in the United States and they sold over 178 million united. The Beatles received many Grammy Awards and Academy, including 15 Novello Awards.
Coldplay is an English band started in 1996. The band is made up of Jonny Buckland (Guitarist), Chris Martin (Lead singer and pianist), Will Champion (the drummer), and Guy Berry (the bass guitar player). Phil Harvey, the band’s manager is known as the band’s unofficial member.
They gained worldwide fame after the release of their debut album titled ‘Parachutes’. Their singles ‘Yellow in 2000’ got them a nomination for the Mercury Prize. Their second album ‘A Rush of Blood to the Head’ released in 2002 won them several awards despite the initial criticism. All through the band’s musical career, they have gotten 209 nominations and won 62 awards from the nominations. The group have sold over 80 million units of their records worldwide.
4. The Who
The Who is an English band started in 1964 in London. The band was made up of Pete Townshend, John Entwistle, Roger Daltrey and Keith Moon. They are best known for their hit singles like ‘Won’t Get Fooled Again’ and Baba O’Riley My Generation. The group was officially inducted as members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.
